Air Jordan Sneaker Collection: (Original images remove by request)The Jordan Brand folks headquartered in Beaverton, OR love telling stories behind their products. Take for example the Defining Moments series of Air Jordan Packs that re-told Michael’s legendary achievements, or one of the more subtle attempts like the Air Jordan V ‘Laney’, which was a throwback to Michael’s High School days. Of the entire Jordan saga that spans nearly three decades, no story is as entertaining as the ’94 tale if Johnny Kilroy – a fictional persona absorbed by Michael Jordan during his short hiatus from the game of basketball. It was a positive, light-hearted spin on Jordan’s sudden retirement from the Bulls (partly sparked by the death of his father), which focused on Jordan’s burning desire to step on a hardwood court – regardless of what uniform he dons or name he assumes. In 2012, Jordan Brand revisits the story of Johnny Kilroy with this unprecedented ‘Pack’ of Air Jordan IX colorways, with each edition representing one of the many pseudonyms that Michael – no, wait – Johnny Kilroy used during his short span in the spotlight. Motorboat Jones, Calvin Bailey, Fontay Montana, Bentley Ellis, and of course, Johnny Kilroy are the inclusions of this roster of semi-pro ballers, and beginning this October 6th (the same date in which Michael announced his first retirement), the saga of Kilroy will be re-told – not in E! True Hollywood Story style, but with dope sneaker releases. Check out these exclusive images of the Air Jordan IX ‘Kilroy Pack’ below and let us know which of the six colorways you like best. by Air Jordan Sneaker Collection
Air Jordan Sneaker Collection - AIR JORDAN LOW WEEK PART 2Air Jordan XII Low was first introduced in 2004 when the XII experienced a wide distribution for the first time since the original ’97 run. The Air Jordan Sneaker Collection and low-top XII was surprisingly popular because the shoe, quite frankly, is at quick glance tough to distinguish from the Mid version! Nothing major is changed in order to keep the XII a true low-top, with the exception of the subtraction of one metallic eyelet at the upper. Obsidian colorway was especially popular considering it is derived rather accurately from the OG Obsidian – a shoe that only recently went through a Retro production. If you have the OG, the ’12 Retro, and the ’04 Low, your Obsidian XII family is now complete! Combine Air Jordan heritage and Nike history into one shoe and you have perhaps the greatest PE of all-time. We’re talking about the duet of the Air Jordan III ‘Oregon’ customs that were not only one of the most coveted sneakers of 2011, but a popular choice among Nike’s high-ranking employees. Neither the white PE nor the ‘Pit Crew’ version were released to the public and were only attainable via a student-only giveaway (or if you’re on that exclusive list of Nike F&F). Emmanuelabor brings his crafty skills to the Air Jordan V and transforms a Black/Metallic colorway into the Pit Crew, using the pre-set Black upper as the base and adding green/yellow Ducks accents around the shoe. The tongue is the most impressive detail, as it features an embroidered ‘O’ logo above a reflective yellow backdrop.
